集龍頭、獅眼、虎背、麝鹿身、龍鱗就于一體;尾巴毛狀像龍尾;圓的頭頂，有一對(duì)角。但據(jù)說(shuō)麒麟的身體像麝鹿，它被古人視為神寵、仁寵。麒麟長(zhǎng)壽，能活兩千年。能吐火，聲音如雷?！坝忻x(chóng)三百六十，而麒麟為之長(zhǎng)”(有毛之蟲(chóng):有毛的動(dòng)物)。
It combines the Dragon head, the lion's eye, the tiger's back, the deer's body and the dragon's scales; the tail is hairy like the dragon's tail; the round head has a pair of horns. But it is said that Kirin's body is like a deer, which is regarded by the ancients as divine favor and benevolence. Kylin lives long and can live for two thousand years. It can vomit fire and sound like thunder. "The hairy worm is three hundred and sixty, and the unicorn is long" (hairy worm: hairy animal).
